Sport Academy

An after-college Sport Academy session for Year 10 and 11 students exploring coaching, psychology, nutrition, injury prevention and fitness training.

Nelson and Colne College is running an after-college Sport Academy for Year 10 and Year 11 pupils, made up of six interactive workshops covering both the theory and practical sides of the sport industry. Topics include coaching techniques, performance psychology, sports nutrition, injury prevention and treatment, fitness training and the anatomy of movement. Attendees can pick individual sessions or complete all six to experience the full programme and get a taste of studying Sport at college.
