Introduction to Creative Weaving

A four-hour beginner-friendly creative weaving workshop at Freeweaver Studio, using floor looms and varied yarns to make a textile to take home.

This four-hour workshop at Freeweaver Studio in Maritime Greenwich introduces creative weaving inspired by Japanese free-weaving traditions. Participants work on contemporary floor looms with a collection of yarns including natural fibres and reclaimed threads, weaving intuitively to create a one-of-a-kind textile to take home. Beginners are welcome, with no previous experience needed, and all materials and guidance are included. The studio is on the second floor, reached by two flights of stairs with no lift.
