Exhibition: Freely Chosen – Recent moments captured by Wrexham Playworkers

A Ffoto Cymru 2026 photography exhibition of children's play at Wrexham's adventure playgrounds, all images captured by local playworkers.

Part of Ffoto Cymru 2026 under the theme There's More To Life, this exhibition focuses on playwork and adventure playgrounds. Wrexham is home to the only three adventure playgrounds in Wales — The Venture, Gwenfro Valley and the Land — and every photograph on display has been taken by Wrexham playworkers themselves rather than a visiting artist. The images capture moments of children playing freely, drawing on the playworkers' trust and familiarity with the children.
