Free-Motion Embroidery & Applique Workshop

A one-day textile workshop at Artisan Stitch combining raw-edge appliqué and free-motion machine embroidery to create a floral fabric artwork.

This full-day workshop teaches two textile techniques recently featured on The Great British Sewing Bee: raw-edge appliqué and free-motion machine embroidery. Participants build up a floral bouquet design from colourful fabrics, then use an ordinary sewing machine to stitch detail, texture and character into their piece. Attendees can follow the tutor's design or create their own composition, and no embroidery machine is required.
