About
A concert featuring Enrico Chapela's electric violin concerto Antiphaser alongside works by Arvo Pärt and Eduard Tubin, conducted by Mihhail Gerts.
This orchestral concert centres on Antiphaser, a new concerto for electric violin by Mexican composer Enrico Chapela, inspired by the idea of an eclipse viewed from the Moon. Conductor Mihhail Gerts also leads two works from his native Estonia: Arvo Pärt's Swansong and a symphony by Eduard Tubin, Estonia's leading 20th-century symphonist. The programme contrasts the new electric violin work with these Estonian masterpieces.
