AD Concert Band celebrates its 50th anniversary with a concert spanning stage and screen, classical and contemporary repertoire, with Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue as the centrepiece. The programme also premieres two new commissions: one by wind-band composer Philip Sparke, who also wrote a piece for the band's 40th anniversary, and one by award-winning young composer Katrine Aziz, commissioned through the Adopt a Music Creator Scheme to champion women in the arts.
