Guided Fungi Walk – High Beeches Gardens, Handcross

High Beeches Senior Gardener Elliot Chandler leads a guided autumn fungi walk through the meadows at High Beeches Gardens.

Explore the fungi of High Beeches Gardens on a gentle guided walk through its meadows with Senior Gardener Elliot Chandler. He will discuss how the garden is managed organically to support wildlife, including work with Sussex Wildlife Trust’s Wilder Ouse Project to manage water flow and create scrapes and shallow ponds. The ticket includes garden entry, and visitors may explore the garden at their own pace after the tour. The event is for adults aged 18 and over. Tickets are listed at £21–£30, including the Eventbrite booking fee; a limited concession is available to people finding the standard rate out of reach, including seniors, students and currently unemployed people, without proof. The guide meets attendees by the garden and café entrance beside the car park. Free parking is available, and toilets and refreshments for purchase are at the entrance. Paths are unmade, uneven and sloping; suitable footwear is recommended, and benches are available.
