About
Encore Productions at Frome College stage Timberlake Wertenbaker's dark reimagining of Cinderella at the Merlin Theatre.
Encore Productions in association with Frome College present Timberlake Wertenbaker's The Ash Girl, a contemporary, darker take on the Cinderella story. Ashgirl contends not only with a cruel stepmother and stepsisters but with personified Seven Deadly Sins and the spectre of Sadness, fighting her inner demons to find her own voice and self-worth. The amateur production features a student ensemble cast with atmospheric staging and eccentric costumes, running 18:30 to 21:00.
