The Christmas Experience

A whole-estate Christmas visit with a decorated Edwardian Hall, illuminated gardens, a Twelve Days walk, a fairy dell and a seasonal courtyard and village.

Lotherton’s seasonal estate programme includes the decorated Edwardian Hall, illuminated formal gardens, the Twelve Days of Christmas walk through Captain’s Wood, a fairy dell, a courtyard with hot drinks, warm food and market stalls, and a secret village. Santa, elf crafts, marshmallow and magic shows are part of the pre-Christmas offer; after Christmas these activities cease, while the festive walk, fairy dell, decorated house, Yuletide Yurts and grounds remain. Lotherton’s visitor information says the estate is closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day, so the experience is not open on 25 or 26 December or 1 January. General visitor hours are listed as 10am–5pm in British Summer Time and 10am–4pm in British Winter Time; these are opening hours, not additional event start/end times.
