Iona or Islay Bench

A half-day woodworking workshop at Glasgow Wood where participants build an Iona or Islay bench from reclaimed scaffold boards.

Glasgow Wood's woodworkers guide participants step-by-step through building one of their best-selling Iona or Islay benches using reclaimed scaffold boards. The half-day session covers cutting, assembling and finishing, with each participant taking home a piece made entirely by themselves. It takes place in the South Street workshop in the Barclay Curle Complex, home to one of Glasgow's remaining Titan Cranes.
