This course provides instruction on various aspects of traditional hedge laying. Topics include clearing sites and selecting suitable growth, the art of pleaching, and safely handling traditional tools like billhooks and axes. Participants will learn how to secure upright stakes and weave hazel binders. All necessary equipment is provided, but attendees must bring suitable clothing and a packed lunch.
