Rachel Howard and Frank Auerbach: Noise

Prints by Rachel Howard and Frank Auerbach are brought together around the body, relationships and mortality.

Howard’s graphic woodcuts sit alongside Auerbach’s etched prints, showing different approaches to line, pressure and image-making across two generations. In printmaking, “noise” describes incidental ink left on rough or uncut areas of a block or plate, a process detail reflected in the exhibition title.
