Ro Robertson: Howl
About
A site-specific installation by Ro Robertson transforming the gallery's historic staircase with a mural and suspended steel sculpture.
Howl is a site-specific installation created for the historic staircase of Pallant House Gallery, inspired by the rhythms of the Cornish coastline and the movements of the Sun, Moon and sea. It pairs a monumental mural of sweeping colour and luminous circular forms with Crosswaves, the artist's first suspended sculpture, made from curved steel weathered by the sea at Porthmeor Beach in St Ives. The work is part of the Gallery's Staircase Commission series and invites visitors to reflect on their relationship with landscapes, tides and celestial cycles.
