About

A specialist meeting examines how triple interactions and binary-single encounters can form black-hole binaries that merge through gravitational waves.

The programme covers eccentric mergers, environmental effects, chaotic encounters, hierarchical mergers and relativistic dynamics. Talks are billed from Johan Samsing, Isobel Romero-Shaw, Simon Portegies-Zwart, Fabio Antonini, Mark Gieles, Anna-Lisa Varri, Connar Rowan and Zoltan Haiman. Convenors are Mor Rozner, Barry Ginat and Bence Kocsis. Registration and tea begin at 10:00; the scheduled meeting starts at 10:30.
