About
An exhibition launch tracing migration histories of Tyndale Community School Year 6 pupils, with short talks and a celebration with pupils and families.
This exhibition, created with Tyndale Community School Year 6 pupils, the Migration and Refugees Research Network at Oxford Brookes, artist Dr Kremena Dimitrova and Iraqi Women in Art and War, explores how 10 and 11 year olds make sense of their identities and community in East Oxford. The launch features short talks by teacher Hannah Dawson, Dr Kremena Dimitrova, Rana Ibrahim and sociologist Dr Tamsin Barber, and celebrates the work with pupils and families. Tyndale Community School has over 50 languages spoken among its pupils and has collaborated with Oxford Brookes on migration and identity projects for three years.
