Brontë themed printmaking workshop - Solar plate etching
About
A Brontë-inspired solar plate etching workshop in Haworth where participants create their own prints using UV light and light-sensitive plates.
Artist Alice Croft hosts a five-hour, in-person printmaking workshop in Haworth exploring solar plate etching. Participants draw or bring an A5 design, transfer it to a light-sensitive plate, and expose it using UV light to produce a unique print, taking home their plate and an A5 print. The session is Brontë-themed to reflect the location, but attendees are free to make any image they wish, with simple, bold designs recommended. Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided, with a lunch break and a reserved table at the Cobbles and Clay cafe.
