Lambourne End Gardens Fungi Walk

A guided educational fungi walk into Hainault Forest with Bogdana from Lambourne End Gardens, exploring identification, habitats and foraging ethics.

An informal, introductory fungi walk led by Bogdana from Lambourne End Gardens, meeting at Lambourne End Community Garden before heading into Hainault Forest. Participants will explore fungal habitats and tree associations, learn identification basics with ID books, keys and hand lenses, and discuss edible and poisonous species, medicinal fungi, and UK foraging ethics and laws. The walk is educational only — no mushrooms will be collected — and touches on foraging histories, Indigenous knowledges and ideas of interdependence. Comfortable walking shoes, weather-appropriate clothing and food/drink are advised.
