The Rothschild Story
About
A new permanent-style display at Waddesdon Manor exploring the history of the Rothschild family through interactive rooms designed by ZMMA.
New for 2026, The Rothschild Story is a display of rooms bringing the Rothschild family's history and family tree to life, from Baron Ferdinand, who built Waddesdon Manor, to the late Lord Rothschild and his daughter Dame Hannah Rothschild, Chair of the Rothschild Foundation. Designed by award-winning exhibition designers ZMMA, the displays include digital and interactive elements and highlight female members of the family. They also explore the Rothschilds' interest in collecting art alongside horticulture, nature and sustainability, and the Rothschild Foundation's role in these areas today. Open 12pm–4pm and included with House admission.
