Autumn Migration in North Kent

A day at Oare Marshes timed around high tide, when wetland birds use the reserve's floods and scrapes to roost and feed. Participants spend much of the day in the field learning to identify waders and other wetland species, with a midday presentation on autumn bird migration covering why birds migrate, how they navigate and the routes they take. Advice on binoculars, field guides and other equipment is included, and the course is suitable for beginners and improvers.
