Christmas Lights Switch On

Doncaster's free annual Christmas light switch-on with live music, a carousel, fireworks and festive food in the city centre.

Doncaster's annual Christmas Light Switch-On fills the city centre around the Corn Exchange, Wool Market and Market Square with festive entertainment. Dene Michael of Black Lace performs crowd-pleasers such as Agadoo and I am the Music Man, while the Yorkshire Grinch makes mischief among the crowds. A carousel returns and fireworks light up the sky at the official switch-on in Market Square at 7:30pm, with food and drink from local vendors throughout the evening.
