Bring Your Baby Guided London Walk: The Real Stories of the Whitechapel Women 1888 - Feminist Jack the Ripper Tour
About
A buggy-friendly guided walk through Whitechapel and Spitalfields telling the real stories of the five women murdered in 1888, designed for parents with babies.
This three-hour guided walk, written and led by City of London guide Sue Doe, deliberately shifts focus away from the unidentified murderer and onto the lives of Polly, Annie, Elizabeth, Catherine and Mary-Jane, and the Whitechapel and Spitalfields communities trying to help those in poverty. Stops include where the women lived, Toynbee Hall, the Salvation Army's refuges and other local women's history from 1888. The walk is step-free and buggy-friendly, with an hour-long halfway stop at Spitalfields Market for lunch, feeding and baby changing.
