Meet The Birds Time Forgot

A winter family programme uses birdwatching, fossils, hands-on art and wildlife activities to explore how birds are the last living dinosaurs.

Each Saturday and Sunday from 5 December 2026 to 31January 2027, families explore the connections between dinosaurs and modern wetland birds. Activities include handling real and replica fossils, comparing eggs, exploring feather and wing evolution, making fossil art, and joining guided birdwatching. A prehistoric timeline, creative design activities and an explorer journal add to the weekend programme. Included with centre admission, or free for WWT members.
