About

A family-friendly guided birdwatching session connects the wetland birds around Llanelli with their theropod dinosaur ancestry.

A WWT guide helps families scan the wetlands around Michael Powell Hide, identify local birds and explore how feathers, feet, beaks and hunting behaviour connect modern birds with prehistoric dinosaurs. Sessions run every Saturday and Sunday throughout December 2026 and January 2027, 13:15–13:45, starting at Michael Powell Hide and moving to Steel Hide depending on wildlife and tides. Included with centre admission or free for WWT members.
