WOOFYT: Explore the Science of Music

A hands-on family workshop using WOOFYT, a small wooden organ, to explore how organ pipes and the science of sound work.

Children and families can investigate how organ pipes work and experiment with sound using WOOFYT, the Wooden One-Octave Organ for Young Technologists. The 75-minute workshop sessions run at 9.30am, 10.50am, 1.00pm and 2.20pm, with free places bookable in advance. Free drop-in musical arts and crafts activities (Crafty Cathedral) run throughout the morning with no booking needed. The event is part of The Grand Organ Festival celebrating the return of Bristol Cathedral's organ after major restoration.
