About
An informal history talk exploring gender and the witchcraze in early modern Europe, and why women were so often blamed.
Heritage, History & Her presents a two-hour talk on witchcraft beliefs in the 1500s and 1600s, examining what life was like then, what witches were believed to do, and why women in particular bore the blame. The speaker adapts the talk to the audience's questions, and no prior knowledge is needed. The session includes a welcome, the talk itself, and a closing Q&A with pointers for further research; attendees are encouraged to bring a quiet activity, with paper and markers provided.
