About
A Halloween-season talk and gallery tour with the McManus's Art Curator exploring the history of witchcraft and the persecution of women in Dundee.
Join the McManus's Art Curator for a talk in the Victoria Gallery on the history of witchcraft in Dundee and the Scottish Witchcraft Act of 1563. The session then moves into the galleries to view objects linked to the persecution and control of women, including a 17th-century scold's bridle and a new Centre Stage commission portraying Claire Mitchell KC of the Witches of Scotland campaign. The event runs from 5:30pm to 6:45pm.
