About

A puppetry and music show for ages 3-6 about a star granting a little girl's birthday wish to dance among the stars.

A Ladder to the Stars is a family production told through puppetry, original music and storytelling, aimed at children aged 3-6. A star hears a little girl's birthday wish to dance with the stars, and the moon, sun, wind and rain work together to grow a tree that reaches the sky — a process that takes 100 years. Directed by Dougie Irvine, with set and costume by Becky Minto, music by Daniel Padden and puppets by Ailie Cohen, the show explores wishes, gift-giving, weather and the solar system. The 22 December 1:30pm and 23 December 10:30pm performances are BSL-interpreted by Jo Ross.
