About

Art historian Jo Baring talks about her book Totem: The Untold Story of Sculpture at Dora House, with mulled wine and mince pies.

Following a sold-out book launch, art historian and curator Jo Baring returns to Dora House to speak about her best-selling book Totem: The Untold Story of Sculpture. The talk explores humanity's forty-thousand-year history of making sculpture, from the prehistoric Lion Man figure and a Mayan serpent pyramid to works by Michelangelo, Giacometti, Hepworth, Moore, Brancusi, Bourgeois, Kusama and Gormley. The seasonal evening event includes mulled wine and mince pies, and runs from 6pm to 8pm.
