About

A special steam train service runs on November 1, 2026, as part of the Exmoor National Park Dark Skies Festival, offering a journey through the Exmoor countryside.

The event is part of the Exmoor National Park Dark Skies Festival, which celebrates the wonders of Exmoor after dark. This special service offers a unique opportunity to experience steam travel across Exmoor, similar to Victorian times. The railway runs multiple services throughout the day, including a special 5:00pm service, allowing visitors to enjoy the contrast of traveling by steam as darkness falls. Tickets are valid for the whole day, permitting multiple return journeys.
