About

The Hallé performs Sir James MacMillan's Christmas Oratorio, a dramatic and colourful setting of the nativity story first performed in 2019. The work features extensive writing for the Hallé Choir alongside soloists Mary Bevan and Roderick Williams, tracing the joyful birth of a child while hinting at events to come. The concert runs about 105 minutes with a 20-minute interval between Parts I and II, and a pre-concert talk takes place at 6.30pm.
