Monsal Trail April Half Marathon & 10k Weekend

A half marathon and 10k on the Monsal Trail from Bakewell Station, run on both Saturday and Sunday through tunnels and over the Monsal viaduct.

Runners choose between a half marathon and a 10k on the Monsal Trail, a former Midland Railway line that passes through four tunnels and across the Monsal viaduct. Races take place on both Saturday and Sunday, with entrants able to run one or both days. The traffic-free, undulating multi-terrain course is billed as ideal spring marathon training, with bespoke medals, free photographs and trophies for leading runners.
