Tissington Trail January Half Marathon & 10k Weekend

A traffic-free half marathon and 10k along the Tissington Trail on the former Ashbourne–Buxton railway line, run on either or both of two January weekend days.

This award-winning race follows the Tissington Trail, a traffic-free former railway line from Ashbourne to Buxton, with a gentle uphill on the outward leg and a slight downhill return through views of the Derbyshire Dales. Runners choose between the half marathon and 10k distances and can race on Saturday, Sunday or both days. Finishers receive a bespoke medal and free photographs, with trophies and prizes for leading runners. The event is described as suitable for beginners to either distance.
