Halloween steam-train rides through the Derwent Valley, with decorated heritage carriages, free sweets for children and fancy dress welcomed.
Peak Rail runs a Halloween steam-train service through the Derwent Valley with decorated heritage carriages. Children can have free sweets, and fancy dress is welcomed. Trains depart Rowsley South at 11:00, 13:00 and 15:00; the published timetable shows the route via Darley Dale, Matlock Platform 2 and Matlock Riverside, then back to Rowsley South. Adult tickets are £15 for a return/rover or £8.50 for a single journey; children under 16 travel free. No pre-booking is available, so tickets are bought on the day.
