About

Two practical clothing-mending workshops: make a take-home needle case while learning basic repairs, or use a mini darning loom for mending and embellishment.

Both sessions take place on Saturday 14 November 2026 at Melton Carnegie Museum. Make Your Own Needle Case runs 09:30–12:00 and costs £5; it covers sewing on a button, repairing a hem and patching a hole. Creative Darning runs 13:00–15:30 and costs £10, including a mini darning loom, threads and needles to take home; this session is suitable for ages 12+. Equipment is included. Pre-booking is essential, with a maximum of 15 participants per workshop; book by phone or email with the museum.
