About
A free exhibition of more than 130 works by photographer Sunil Gupta charting queer life and activism from the 1970s to today.
Kettle's Yard presents a major survey of photographer Sunil Gupta, featuring over 130 works spanning street photography, portraits and commissioned and personal projects. The exhibition traces a life of migration between Delhi, Montreal, New York and London, and highlights series including Friends and Lovers (1970s), Christopher Street (1976), Mr Malhotra's Party (2007-2012) and Dissent and Desire (with Charan Singh, 2015). Gupta's work has been instrumental in raising awareness of the fight for queer rights internationally, particularly in India and the UK. The exhibition is open 11am-5pm Tuesday to Sunday, closing between 25 and 26 December.
