Cinecity 2026 presents Ultimate Thunder (18), an award-winning documentary following the Leeds punk band Ultimate Thunder, six musicians with learning disabilities, Down syndrome and autism whose fully improvised gigs have earned them a growing reputation. Over three years of filming, the band chase a bigger stage while facing funding cuts, life-saving heart surgery and the loss of their frontman's voice. The screening is followed by a Q&A with director Ben G. Brown, producer Lia Hayes and special guests, and is presented in partnership with Cinecity and Oska Bright. Doors open at 5.30pm.
