Edinburgh Napier University students stage Beth Flintoff's play rediscovering the story of Maria Marten, victim of the 1827 Red Barn Murder.
Beth Flintoff's play retells the Red Barn Murder of 1827, in which Maria Marten's body was found hidden in a grain sack under the floor of a Suffolk barn, sparking a nationwide manhunt. The production aims to recover Maria's own story, which was lost amid the sensational crime drama of the case. It is performed by 4th year BA (Hons) Acting and English students and runs from Wednesday 18 to Saturday 21 November at 7:30 PM. The show contains adult themes.
