Christmas Show: Hansel and Gretel

Platform Glasgow's festive family show retells Hansel and Gretel with songs and jokes, running from 1 to 24 December 2026.

Platform Glasgow presents a Christmas show written by Lewis Hetherington, reimagining Hansel and Gretel as a lost goat and badger raised by a man who finds them on his doorstep one snowy Christmas Eve. When a mysterious power takes hold of the forest, the pair must find their way again, encountering a Gingerbread House along the way. The production promises a gripping festive story with groovy songs and plenty of silly jokes, from the team behind A Christmas Carol, Rumpelstiltskin and Sleeping Beauty. It runs from 1 to 24 December 2026, with individual dates and times available on the Platform website.
