About
A rare museum display of the 19-panel Test Valley Tapestry, a 1990 community embroidery, at Andover Museum of the Iron Age.
The Test Valley Tapestries go on display at Andover Museum for the first time in decades, having previously been housed at Test Valley Borough Council offices. Created in 1990 as a community project involving around 1,500 local contributors, the large-scale embroidery comprises 19 stitched panels depicting 75 of Test Valley's towns, villages, hamlets and parishes. The display offers a rare chance to see this significant community artwork in a museum setting.
