Paisley Christmas Lights Switch-On
About
A free festive day of live music, choirs, street theatre, family activities and a funfair in Paisley town centre, ending with the Christmas lights switch-on at 6pm.
Paisley's Christmas season begins with a free town-centre celebration running from midday to 8pm. Two stages host live entertainment — the main stage on Gauze Street from 1pm to 6pm, hosted by Go Radio's Zoe Kelly, and community choirs at the Cenotaph from 12.45pm to 5pm — alongside walkabout street performances including illuminated winter birds, living snow globes and Bad Santas. Families can enjoy arts and crafts at The Art Department, a Stick Man storytelling session at Paisley Central Library, a Giant Snow Globe, light tunnels and funfair rides, with food and gifts from the Big Feed in Abbey Close. The day concludes at 6pm when Santa and Renfrewshire's Provost switch on the Christmas lights, with music from Skipinnish.
