Carols by Candlelight

Two candlelit carol services at Salisbury Cathedral featuring bible readings and carols sung by the Cathedral Choir, free and open to all.

Salisbury Cathedral holds its Carols by Candlelight services on 22 and 23 December 2026, both beginning at 7pm with doors opening an hour earlier and refreshments served in the Cloisters. The services combine bible readings, favourite carols and choral works performed by the Cathedral Choir to tell the story of Jesus' birth. Entry is free with no tickets required, though queue tokens are issued each evening and seating is first come, first served. The Tuesday service will also be livestreamed, with the recording available online until 12 January 2027.
