Tango by Candlelight

A candlelit fundraising concert of Astor Piazzolla's tango music by the Northern Chamber Orchestra with five musicians and two tango dancers.

The Northern Chamber Orchestra presents a special fundraising concert for the NCO 60 Appeal, built around the music of Astor Piazzolla, who transformed traditional Argentine tango into a bold, dramatic style of his own. Five musicians — bandoneon, guitar, violin, piano and double bass — perform alongside two tango dancers in an atmospheric candlelit setting. The concert runs approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes with no interval, and afterwards the audience can stay for a drink, enjoy a selection of Argentinian wines and meet the musicians.
