Autumn Felting

A sold-out adult workshop at Southampton City Art Gallery creating 2D artwork using the wet felting technique, with materials provided.

This two-hour creative workshop introduces adults to wet felting (also known as fulling), using warm soapy water and agitation to bind wool fibres into 2D pieces of artwork. The gallery's learning team provides guidance, all materials are supplied, and all experience levels are welcome; participants just bring a plastic bag to take their work home. The finish time is approximate, as attendees may complete their creations earlier.
