Echoes of the Silk Wind: Siqian Li + Kang Yang

Pianist Siqian Li and guzheng player and baritone Kang Yang follow musical connections from China through the Caucasus and Anatolia to Andalusia.

Curated by Li, the programme pairs Chinese landscapes, poetry and Uyghur traditions with music from further west along the Silk Road. Works by Fazil Say, Albéniz, Babajanian and Chu Wanghua reflect the crossings of folk and classical traditions.
