About

Dr Helen Fewlass lectures on the ARRIVAL project's excavations at Kents Cavern, 200 years after the discovery of its enigmatic leaf-shaped stone tool.

Dr Helen Fewlass gives a Torquay Museum Society lecture on the ARRIVAL project, which is investigating who made the leaf-shaped stone tool found at Kents Cavern 200 years ago by John McEnery — the last Neanderthals in Europe or the first Homo sapiens? The talk updates on the project's first field season, which included new excavations at Kents Cavern. Free to Museum Society members; the public are welcome for £5 payable on the door.
