Annual Remembrance Sunday Service
About
Trowbridge's annual Remembrance Sunday service with a procession, church service and wreath-laying ceremony at the War Memorial.
The annual Remembrance Sunday service begins with a procession forming outside Trowbridge Town Hall at 9.15am and moving to St James' Church, where the service commences at 9.45am. The procession then re-forms and moves to the War Memorial in Trowbridge Park, taking a salute on Silver Street en route. The remembrance service there includes the Last Post at 10.59am and two minutes' silence at 11am, followed by wreath laying led by the Town Crier; the parade is dismissed after an address by the President of the Royal British Legion (Trowbridge Branch). Seating inside the church is limited, so attendees may need to stand.
