About
An exhibition of Sarah Lees RCA's oil paintings exploring the edges of the West Wales landscape, where human traces meet wild nature.
Sarah Lees RCA's exhibition Edge Lands presents paintings exploring the rural thresholds of West Wales, where cultivated fields meet wild thickets and ancient stones emerge from the earth. Her layered oil paintings, built up and scratched back, investigate the traces of centuries of human interaction with the land. The work engages with themes of place, memory and identity in contemporary Welsh art, inviting perception through presence rather than depiction.
