The Staffroom & Two Short Planks: MonoPolarised

A double bill of improv comedy at Birmingham Improv Festival: long-form show The Staffroom plus Two Short Planks' MonoPolarised duo set.

The Staffroom is an organic long-form improv show peering into the lives of teachers as they navigate relationships in a world governed by routine and rules, performed by experienced improvisers with credits including the West End and Edinburgh Fringe. The second half features MonoPolarised, a three-act set from British improv veterans Jon Trevor and Stags Woodward, who build a story of two people stuck together from an audience-suggested location, full of awkward silences, shifting status dynamics and surprising twists. The show is part of the Birmingham Improv Festival 2026, a four-day event at MAC.
