Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) Annual Refresher

An annual refresher training day for Designated Safeguarding Leads covering legislative updates, safeguarding leadership and best practice in early years settings.

This six-and-a-half-hour refresher course, delivered by the Early Years Improvement Team with safeguarding partners, is for Designated Safeguarding Leads who have already completed Level 3 DSL training. It covers updates to legislation, statutory guidance and local procedures, learning from reviews and inspections, effective referrals and high-quality incident recording, all set in a local Herefordshire context. Participants reflect on and strengthen safeguarding leadership and practice within their early years settings.
