Dementia Friendly Film Screening of Wizard of Oz

A relaxed, dementia-friendly screening of the classic film The Wizard of Oz at Mansfield Central Library auditorium.

Mansfield Central Library hosts a dementia-friendly screening of the classic film The Wizard of Oz, in which Dorothy Gale and her dog Toto are swept from Kansas to the Land of Oz. The relaxed format welcomes people living with dementia and memory challenges, their family and friends, with talking, singing and movement encouraged. Doors open 20 minutes before the film, there is a 20-minute interval, and lighting and volume are adjusted sensitively, with a quiet room available outside the auditorium.
